Final boss sleep.
Anyone who has trouble falling asleep knows the process as evening approaches. The fear of lying awake in bed for hours, tossing and turning (feeling like a thousand times), only to wake up completely exhausted in the morning.
I know that too. And that's why I've now tried CBD—more specifically, the Sleep line from Leafpower, a company from Vorarlberg that is fully committed to the topic of "well-being through hemp."
While many advertise their products as providing energy and focus, our test was clearly about the opposite: winding down, relaxing, and sleeping. Completely without medication or chemicals – thanks to the calming effect of the cannabinoid CBD .
Initial situation: waking phase
I'm not a completely bad sleeper—but I'm not a good one either. My nights are often full of ups and downs: too much mental activity, too many to-dos on my mind, too little real deep sleep . Repeated waking phases, which fuel the fear of staying awake. Sleeping through the night once, falling asleep after five minutes once—that's it.
The hope: CBD could support me in my sleep process and even without any side effects.
I therefore decided to test the TryCome CBD Sleep capsules and the Sleep Lavender & Chamomile CBD oil (30%) for two weeks . The products are currently available at a very reasonable price at leafpower.store . Two products, one goal: better sleep.
The CBD sleep products in detail
CBD Oil Sleep Lavender & Chamomile (10 ml / 3000 mg)
As soon as you open the small glass bottle, you're greeted by a gentle scent: lavender, chamomile, and a hint of meadow herbs . The manufacturer recommends taking a few drops – about 5 – directly under the tongue before bedtime. The dosing pipette makes taking it a breeze.
It contains 3000 mg of CBD, CBN, and CBC per 10 ml – a decent dosage. It also contains terpenes and natural flavors that are said to promote sleep.
The taste? If you like Almdudler, you'll love this product! The alpine meadow and lavender flavors come through lightly, before chamomile dominates the finish. It's no comparison to any other CBD oil I've tried so far.
CBD Capsules Sleep (30 pieces / 1500 mg)
If drops aren't your thing, capsules offer a practical alternative. Each capsule contains 50 mg of cannabinoids (25 mg CBD, 25 mg CBN), combined with lavender oil, chamomile oil, and a shot of melatonin. Taking them is incredibly simple: Swallow one capsule approximately 30 minutes before bedtime.
Speaking of swallowing: The capsules are the perfect size for swallowing!
Practical test: How the sleep CBD worked
Day 1 – 3
It's the weekend! Perfect for a good night's sleep and a closer look at the products. The pretty packaging is already on my nightstand. I start with the oil: 5 drops right before bed.
First impression: I 've been sleeping well for three days in a row, but not necessarily falling asleep any faster. It was foreseeable that the oil wouldn't knock me out immediately. The fact that I was sleeping was very restful was all the more pleasant.
Day 4 – 7
I'm switching to capsules because I'm traveling for work and have to decide what to take with me. This version has no taste; just swallow it with a little water and you're done.
I notice that I don't lie awake in bed as long anymore, and that's unusual. When I used to be away visiting clients for several days, falling asleep in the evening was often a struggle. Sleeping through the night wasn't a problem either, despite the hotel bed .
Day 8 – 10
Back home, I switch to the oil for a few days – it's still on my nightstand. The effect is still there: I fall asleep not super fast, but faster than usual . And most importantly for me right now: I sleep through the night!
Day 11 – 14 and beyond
I'm switching back to the capsules. Why? I'm convinced that both options have a very positive effect on my sleep. While the taste of the oil is very pleasant, I'd rather have a neutral taste in my mouth when I fall asleep.
And lo and behold: Since day 13 , I've not only been sleeping through the night, but also falling asleep really quickly . A nice effect I hadn't expected or even longed for. The main thing is to be able to start the day feeling refreshed the next morning!
A companion for the future?
These CBD products as a sleep aid honestly surprised me. It's not a miracle cure—but above all, it's not a magic trick or chemicals. And yet, it does provide noticeable support for falling asleep.
The capsules, in particular, will keep their place on my nightstand and continue to be used. Maybe not every day, but whenever I'm busy and the day follows me into the night.
With the TryCome Sleep range, Leafpower offers a well-thought-out, natural product that shows me that good sleep is possible thanks to CBD . For anyone looking to improve their sleep without resorting to sleeping pills, this is definitely worth a try.
